How paths form
How paths form
- On a standard map, seven paths climb a 7-wide grid. Each step rises one row and moves at most one column sideways. The second path starts on a different column from the first.
- Rest Site and Elite rooms are never randomly assigned below row 6. Rest Site rooms are never randomly assigned in the top three room rows. The first room row is all Enemy. The last row is all Rest Site.
- Elite, Rest Site, Treasure Room, and Shop rooms never repeat on consecutive rooms of the same path. Rest Site, Enemy, Unknown, Elite, and Shop rooms never match a sibling of the same type.
- Duplicate path segments are pruned. Up to 3 repair rounds then refill missing types in this order: Shop, Elite, Rest Site, Unknown.
- The same seed and act produce the same map.
- Consecutive fights skip a shared tag and skip the same encounter when another choice remains in the queue.
