Orichalcum is an uncommon relic: "If you end your turn without Block, gain 6 Block."
When it checks your Block
Orichalcum looks at your Block at the very start of your end of turn, before any other end-of-turn effect runs:
- 0 Block at that moment: you gain 6 Block at the end of your turn.
- Any Block at that moment, even 1: you gain nothing.
Because the check comes first, Block you gain from other end-of-turn effects does not stop Orichalcum. With Plating, for example, you get Plating's Block and Orichalcum's 6 when you ended your turn with 0 Block.
Dexterity and Frail
Orichalcum's Block is fixed at 6. Dexterity and Frail change only Block from cards and enemy moves, so they do not raise or lower it.
What it means for play
- On turns where you play no Block cards, Orichalcum gives 6 Block against the enemy's attacks.
- Playing even one Block card that turn replaces Orichalcum's 6 with that card's Block.
- Block kept between turns (for example from Barricade-style effects) counts as Block, so Orichalcum does not trigger while you hold any.
