The Necrobinder starts with 66 HP, 4 Strike, 4 Defend, Bodyguard and Unleash, and the relic Bound Phylactery. Numbers below are unupgraded.
Osty and Summon
Osty is the Necrobinder's minion. Summon X brings Osty in with X HP, or raises his max HP by X for the rest of the combat if he is already there. Bound Phylactery summons 1 at the start of each of your turns.
| Card | Cost | Summon |
|---|---|---|
| Invoke | 1 | 2 next turn, plus 2 energy next turn |
| Cleanse | 1 | 3, and Exhaust 1 card from your draw pile |
| Spur | 1 | 3, and Osty heals 5 HP. Retain |
| Dirge | X | 3, X times, and add X Souls to your draw pile. Exhaust |
| Pull Aggro | 2 | 4, and gain 7 Block |
| Bodyguard | 1 | 5 |
| Necro Mastery | 2 | 5, and all enemies lose HP whenever Osty loses HP |
| Afterlife | 1 | 6. Exhaust |
| Reanimate | 3 | 20. Exhaust |
Several cards spend Osty's HP:
- Unleash: Osty deals 6 damage plus his current HP.
- Protector (Ancient): Osty deals 10 damage plus his max HP.
- Sacrifice: Osty dies and you gain Block equal to twice his max HP. Retain.
- Bone Shards: Osty deals 9 damage to all enemies and you gain 9 Block, then Osty dies.
Souls
A Soul is a 0-cost Skill that draws 2 cards and Exhausts.
| Role | Cards |
|---|---|
| Add Souls | Capture Spirit (3 to your draw pile), Grave Warden (1), Reave (1), Severance (1 each to your draw pile, hand and discard pile), Seance (turns a draw pile card into a Soul), Dirge (X) |
| Use Souls | Devour Life (Summon 1 whenever you play a Soul), Haunt (a random enemy loses 6 HP whenever you play a Soul), Soul Storm (9 damage, plus 2 for each Soul in your exhaust pile) |
Every Soul you play Exhausts, so Soul Storm grows with each Soul played that combat.
Doom
An enemy with at least as much Doom as HP dies at the end of its turn.
| Card | Cost | Doom |
|---|---|---|
| Blight Strike | 1 | 8 damage, then Doom equal to the damage dealt |
| Negative Pulse | 1 | 7 to all enemies, and gain 5 Block |
| Scourge | 1 | 13, and draw 1 card |
| No Escape | 1 | 10, plus 5 for every 10 Doom already on the enemy |
| Countdown | 1 | 6 to a random enemy at the start of each turn |
| Oblivion | 0 | 3 to the enemy whenever you play a card this turn |
| Deathbringer | 2 | 21 to all enemies, and 1 Weak |
| End of Days | 3 | 29 to all enemies, then kill enemies with at least as much Doom as HP |
| Reaper Form | 3 | Attacks apply Doom equal to their damage |
| Time's Up | 2 | Deal damage equal to the enemy's Doom. Exhaust |
Shroud gains 2 Block whenever you apply Doom. Neurosurge gives 3 energy and draws 2 cards, but applies 3 Doom to you at the start of each turn.
Ethereal cards
Ethereal cards are Exhausted if they are still in your hand at the end of your turn. The Necrobinder's Ethereal cards are Defile, Fear, Defy, Enfeebling Touch, Parse, Lethality, Seance and Demesne (3 cost: gain 1 energy and draw 1 extra card at the start of each turn).
Cards that reward playing them: Banshee's Cry costs 2 less for each Ethereal card played this combat, Pull from Below hits once for each, Spirit of Ash gives 4 Block whenever you play one, Pagestorm draws a card whenever you draw one, and Veilpiercer makes the next one cost 0.
Retain cards
Eradicate (X cost, 11 damage X times), Reap (3 cost, 27 damage), Sow (8 damage to all enemies), Sacrifice and Spur have Retain and stay in your hand between turns.
Forbidden Grimoire (Ancient, 2 cost Power) has Eternal and lets you remove a card from your deck at the end of each combat.
Multiplayer-only cards
Glimpse Beyond (all players add 3 Souls to their draw pile) and Legion of Bone (all players Summon 6) appear only in multiplayer runs. See how co-op changes Slay the Spire 2.
